Twinsies Bunco

It was egg-splitting fun at Bunco this month! Katie hosted "Twin Bunco" and it was a blast, as always.

Kelly and I - the cat's meow

Katie and Robyn

The Olsens

We also had the miracle of quads! Despite the odds against it...

Also, the Olsens won the prize for best twins, although Kelly and I were CATS for pete's sake! Whatever. If we would have all turned around and voted, this injustice might not have occurred, but nooooooooooo........

A Sucky Idea

Well, I don't know everything that Kate is learning in preschool, but I picked up a little trick there myself...
This is how the toddlers at The Seed eat applesauce:

We still have a few kinks to work out, but as mentioned, it's also a handy shape shorter game.

Where Has Oregon?*

The Million Dollar Trip that Josh's boss takes us on was in Lincoln City, Oregon this year. We stayed at the Salishan Resort which is somewhere between Tillamook (think cheese) and Newport.

The first day was crazy with travel - it was a two hour drive from the airport (which turned into three) and then our room wasn't ready for another two hours. However, Yamaha hosted the dinner that night in the Wine Cellar and that was pretty fancy. I totally failed to take my camera, but you get the idea.

Monday was golf for Josh and the spa for me. Heavenly.

This was our view from our balcony - the ninth hole.

I'm not sure what hole this is, but you can see the resort in the distance.

As we were walking to lunch, we saw this:

This is, apparently, the shortest river in the US.

That's the river behind Josh.

Later we went shopping at the Outlet stores, and well... you already know how that went.

On Tuesday we took a drive and ended up eating lunch right on the water.

Afterwards, we walked through some of the shops and found this little guy in a bookshop.

This picture was taken right before he jumped up on my shoulder.

We also found another Oregon landmark:

There were sea lions swimming below - just waiting for someone to throw them fish.

We found a beach and spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and getting brave enough to put our feet in the freezing water.

Oh, and Josh found a ladybug in the sand.

Before we left on Wednesday, Josh and I found a nature trail on the grounds.

This is right before we disappeared into the Blair Witch type forest.

This was for the purse.

* Don't be haters and really, I'm not sure where he's gone...

Too Cool For School

Preschool started last Thursday for Kate.

Circle time with her class.

She used markers and glue, and even ate lunch and she still came home with a clean shirt. I could hardly believe it...

Miss Deb is Kate's teacher. Kate adores her.

Well, here's Grace and Kate getting busted for running in the hallway. They must have been going pretty fast by the looks of that other kid.

Kate and Grace have been friends since birth. It's so neat to have them in the same class this year.

The Newest Addition To Our Family

Isn't she beautiful? Unfortunately, she has no name yet. Any suggestions?

We found a Coach outlet while we were in Oregon and I ran in there - just for fun. We left, sans purse, because even though it was a good deal, I just couldn't do it. Josh went back for her the next day as a surprise. So, now we can't afford to adopt a real child, but I think it was worth it.

(Disclaimer: Just kidding. About the adoption thing. Not about the purse thing. That actually happened.)

North - Day 2

Back to Prescott...

The kids had an absolute blast playing in Aunt Stacey and Uncle Ben's backyard. The weather was wonderful and they just had a new swingset put in.

Here's a short video of Miles and Gavin on the slide. They really weren't sure about it all until they heard the cheering section...

Baby Natalie

Apparently, the front yard was good for a little golf lesson...

Hi! I'm Miles and I'll be your golf instructor for the next two minutes

Lesson #1 - This is not the correct way to wear your hat. Can't see nothin'.

I'll be puttin' my ball just right over there.

Yep. Right here. Yep.

Or here. Whatever.

Shoot.

(Sorry to stop the lesson here, folks, but that hat thing was really getting to him.)
