The Seed's Winter Performance

Kate and Grace were twin birds in their preschool's winter program.

I had the task of keeping this lunatic from kidney punching the women in front of me.

And, now the video...

Her grand entrance...

This is about the point where my dad asked if all of these kids went to the Little Gym. I guess no one thought to clue him in to what he was watching. I wonder if it was the lack of cartwheels that caught his attention.

It was the sweetest show and Kate was a darling. When it was over she immediately asked me if Miles had brought her flowers. Ooops.

ps - don't worry.... no one was offended in the making of this winter performance. Whew!

Babes In Toyland

Sorry to freak a few of you out... Kate is fine. Our well child visit quickly turned into a sick visit when Dr. Bishop heard her wheezing - hence the breathing treatment. All tests came back negative for anything really yucky and her cough seems to be much better today. Miles, however, had a treatment this morning too. Thanks for all the prayers -

On to Past Events Of A Tardy Poster:

Kate and I went on a date to see "Babes In Toyland" with our friends, Gaynor, Michael and Daniel. It was a dinner theater - well, lunch - and we got to munch on kid favorites like mac and cheese and fish sticks at 10:30 am. We had a lot of fun.

My friend, Joy, organized the whole thing and she scored front row middle seats for us. It was pretty fantastic.

Afterwards, we stood in line to meet the cast. The girls were Kate's favorites.

She even took a picture with the villians, even though she really didn't want to go near Barnaby.
I think she's going to be a fellow theatre lover and I can't tell you how happy that makes me.

Oh, Well... Crap.

The Party

Kate had her party at The Little Gym this year. What a fun night!

During circle time, they said their names and then picked what they wanted to put on the "birthday cake." I think someone said, "cheese."

I think the adults were entertained as well...

Oh, the cake!!! Our friend, Candi, made it and it was just fabulous.

Scotty was the behind the scene star of this little video - he came swooping up behind me right in time to blow out Kate's candles. You might even hear him say, "I did it!"

She had a great time opening her gifts - we've already listened to the "Beauty and the Beast" soundtrack four times.

Eli and Jordan gave rave reviews.

Pink goodie bags for all!

Happy B-day, Crazy Kater.

She's Four

Today is Kate's birthday, so I thought I'd review the year in pictures...

And today.

Happy 4th, Kater. I love you.

Almost Four

Since there are a ton of December birthdays in Josh's family, we headed north last week to eat yummy rolled tacos and tear through presents. Kate got to celebrate her upcoming 4th with her Uncle Ben, Aunt Stacey and cousin Natalie.

Four, Baby!

Gavin

Gift opening had fun for all - Karen and I spent out time re-folding tissue paper to use again. I wasn't going to do it at first (because it's weird), but then I saw her start and it seemed a bit more normal. (it's not.)

She got a yoga ball - The Seed would be proud.

After dinner, the festivites began. Uncle Jake took the guitar, Kate was on the drums and Gavin tore it up on the dance floor.

Miles has been singing what appears to be, "Happy Birthday To You" all week. Hopefully, he'll be all geared up for her party on Saturday.
