Vacation, All I Ever Wanted

I sort of invited us up to San Diego for a quick vacation with Ben, Carrie, Joshua Howard and Baby Eli. Ben's parents were away and they were staying at their house for a month, so they were gracious enough to host us.
On Sunday, we headed to the beach. Carrie has more pictures of our sand and water day, so be sure to head over to her blog for a bit. This was both Kate and Miles' first trip to the ocean...
Kate's inital reaction:

And Miles:

He decided that he was much more of a land lover than a wave fighter.

Josh held a workshop on "How To Build Proper Sandcastles." Carrie explaining to J. How that the water is nice. See? Nice water. No? Where the heck is my husband?!

Kate loved it. Although, I kind of forgot to tell her that the ocean was salty. Whoops.

He called it "dry boogie boarding"

Howie and the Pit Crew Eli was totally into it. Dude.

It's always a Kodak moment when the whole family is in swimsuits. Josh burned like a lobster, but it was a really fun day.
