Flutter, Flutter, Fly

Last week we took a family trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens to see the Butterfly Pavilion.

This was the cutest one that I saw.

We also found lots of interesting deserty items and Kate learned what a prickly pear cactus was (this is not a prickly pear, just in case you non-desert people were wondering) and that we say "cacti" instead of "cactuses." I learned that a gummy gecko will melt if you leave in your car for the afternoon. It was a very educational day.

Why did I spend money on a double stroller?

I guess he needed help with the smiling.

Oh, and by the way - that's a prickly pear beside me. I know you were about to Google it.

Oh, Mikele, that one of Miles in the shades -- you have yourself a little man! Sniff.

What a fun day!

I love the Wallace family outing ... Educational Style! My mom always wanted to take me there and I begged her to end the torture! But she never brought along any gummy yummys to eat! Can I come with you next time? (Don't worry ... this is just my inner ego communicating with you that I want to be better than you! I'm going to go ahead and let go of that ... )

Hi! I'm Kerstin's friend, Tara, from IA. Had to check and see if you did the pity tag, yet, and saw that your stroller situation matches exactly to mine! Had to LOL on that one...we spent close to $300 dollars on double strollers and seem to still use the good old Graco travel system!
