My Midget Friend Jesse

So, if you've known me long enough, you've heard me say that I share my birthday with my midget friend Jesse. We met in high school, he's not really a midget, he used to own a grappling hook and he once left mistletoe in my mailbox. I seriously need to find that prom picture... He's also number one on my Blog Roll.
Anyway, being a self proclaimed nerd and a huge fan of Steve Nash, I'm not at all astonished that the following happened. It's like technology and the Suns collided in his fantasy world. Here's the email I got from Jesse.
Some people seem to be upset with me for not sharing this sooner, so hopefully you'll forgive the impersonal nature of this message and mass spammage. Last week, via an online service "Twitter", my friend Sean and I went and found Shaquille O'neal at a local diner eating dinner and asked to have our pictures taken. As is my custom, I wrote a little blurb on my blog. I sent the story to ESPN because I thought it was kind of amusing, and I was surprised the next day to find that they had not only posted it, but given me a pretty good plug as well. The story began to spread as website after website picked it up, and it now has about 75,000 views. You can read the entry here: http://sesquipedalis.blogspot.com/2009/02/finally-use-for-twitter.html And find my blog, as always here: http://www.jessebearden.com I hope this message finds everyone well Jesse
The original post is on his blog - to your right. A Foot and A Half. He probably needs more comments. Sheesh.

Amy Roloff uses "LPs" :) So who is on twitter out there? Isn't it kind of creepy having anyone know what you are up to all the time?

Here's my radio interview with ESPN radio in LA if you're interested:

I'm on about 20 minutes in. They're the radio station for the Clippers, so I gave them a little crap that we beat them twice last week.

I was looking for an acknowledgment that part of his new found success is from being # 1 on Mikele's blog roll.
