But Still I'm Not Happy, Don't You See?

I guess the end of the song isn't completely appropriate since we had a fantastic time in Texas and we're only sad that the trip is over.

On our last day, we visited their new church...

Jen had seen some cute shops in a nearby town, so we left the kids with the menfolk (more water... it was everywhere) and took off to find some goodies. We found sunglasses that broke the next day, really sweet hairclips for the girls, real Texas honey and by then the boys were calling us to retrieve them. It only took us 4 tries to exit the freeway correctly. Back at home, Kate learned to skate... Madison climbed trees... Jen crocheted... and I posed... Dinner was Jen's famous ziti. We let the boys eat with the kids for our sanity. After dinner, we celebrated Valentine's Day with cookies...
the giving of love...
new socks (I think we can fairly say that it's tradition)...

and treats. It all ended with *sniff* Jen reading them a book, but not posing at all for the camera.

Oh, see the satin-y pillowcase? *sniff*

So happy for your fun time together! You need a flapper dress in your beanie picture. And I love Jen reading with all the kids--so sweet!

You do look better in that hat in this picture. Love everyone being together and love the Vday socks.
