Hugh Garage Sale!

The garage sale was a "hugh" success!
My dad spent the two days showing people the poster. If they tried to bargain with him, he'd say, "Come here. Let me show you something. This is why we're doing this." The night before, a bunch of us set up the tables, priced everything and modeled old dresses that I may have worn to Winter Formal... Holly, Jen and Gaynor
Heather and Cathy (the foreman) Kelley
Not so bright, but early on the first morning. Heather was ready.
Creepy dolls we finally sold for $1. Just waiting for the crowds (who eventually DID come).
Jordan came to visit and I asked my dad to find her a clean blanket to sit on. Or foam core.
Day 2! I was asked (by friends and garage salers alike) to demonstrate how to properly fold a fitted sheet. It's one of my many skillz. Colin enjoying a free bagel that I got from a decade old punch card I've been saving. Seriously.
This is my dad. Fixing a shoe. So we can sell it for $2. Thank you to everyone who donated items, drove them over (from Laveen even!), helped set up, tear down, and prayed for this weekend. I'm so happy to say that we made over a thousand dollars for Scott and Katie's adoption process. My dad is so weird.

So glad it was so successful. I wish I could have been more a part of the "hands on " part of it, but just glad you had so many people that could be there to help!
Your Dad cracks me up, what a big heart he has! And I just want to know, did that hideous giant orange crab sell, or is it now sitting on Kate's bed??

I think your dad is still bringing things out of his garage to sell... at his price though :) He is so thoughtful and funny!

Praise God for the successful garage sale and for your organizational skillz! I am thankful that I could help out!

So thankful Katie has such nice friends. I would have shown up at 9:30am.

Did Katie tell you that she has officially decided to name their new child Wallace Murray? It seems appropriate.
