Spring Cleaning

I've never really done the "wild spring break" thing. Once, I went to Rocky Point... with my mom... and two consecutive years were spent in surgery - one being wisdom teeth. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure that I spent most - if not all- spring breaks with her. I guess that's a surefire way to keep some of those chicks off Girls Gone Wild...

This was Kate's first spring break, so Josh and I decided to send the kids up north to get some quality time with Grandma Cheryl while we stayed here and got the house under control. My mom came over to help, so I figured, in a way, we were keeping with tradition.

My Master List - I adore checking things off just about as much as filling out forms. And yes, it was color coded.

Everything looked so clean and organized, so I thought that I'd better take pictures to prove it before the crazies came home.

Anybody remember the drama concerning the wall stripes???

My mom has been giving me Precious Moments ever since I can remember and we had fun remembering what each one symbolized. I'm not a collector by nature, but now we've been buying them for Kate as well and I hope she'll want to pass them down to her daughter someday.

Miles' room - I borrowed an idea from a fancy schmancy baby boutique and made my own letters.

They're both safely home and in their beds. Next year... Cabo... with my mom.

Beautiful. Are you actually going to PARK in the garage now?

How could we forget the 120-year-old man that you hired to work on Kate's room! Is he still there?

I'm very inspired! So much so ... I scrubbed our shower floor for a good thirty minutes last night! Ahhh ... now if only people (other than myself) actually saw the shower floor???

Looks good! I like your Miles letters and I'm absolutely petrified of your list. Glad you were able to get a lot done.

I love the list! I can't imagine so much undivided organization and cleaning time. I'm so envious! Hope the kids had a great time with the Grandma time.

The real question is....did you find your Queen cd?

Not yet. I did find a really large check (as in amount) not to us, but from us (shoot) that Kate had put in her Valentine bag. I also lost my birth certificate in the process. Uh oh. Queen would have a song about it, I'm sure.
