Since Jen and I love all things gross, Heather's mom appeased us by helping us do something that we've dreamed of for a while... getting our ears candled. It's so weird...
The candles are actually made of rolled muslin dipped in paraffin wax. You stick one side in your ear and light it. The vacuum effect sucks out the melted ear wax and it dries inside the candle. I know, I know... you hate me right now.

The pie pans were to ensure that our hair didn't catch on fire.
Jen took hers home in a baggie to show Sean. Seriously.
After that we Biore'd our noses - Heather at least participated in that one. I should have taken my leftover Epil-Stop hair removal stuff over there. Dang.
Hey, Dad? Mom says you're next - on account that you can't hear nothin'.

I REALLY LOVE CLEAN EARS!!! Is she still in town?
I have never heard of this, though I am strangely interested...is that bad?
Ew. I just threw up in my mouth a little.
I've done this before. It feels so wierd.... I didn't take a picture though.
This one time at science camp......my counselor candeled some of the kids ears...and then she got sent home because she didn't have "parents permission."
Next time, please remember I, too, love all things gross.
It looks like fun! I bet you hear so well now.
No wonder you didn't post for so long ... you were holding back on ear wax removal tips! J How needs this ... can I send him over??
I so want to know how to do this! Do you think it would help with kids ear infections?
Why am I still shocked this all took place at my kitchen table??? It's really strange that this works, I was a bit skeptical until I saw the wax.. the pictures do the wax justice. I am so thankful for ear waxey friends!
Your kids have been done for days and we ONLY GOT ONE POST?!?
