BFF

Dear Sweethearts,
I remember every one of your births. Even if I didn't pick up the phone when one of them was announced. Who thinks to have a baby in the wee hours of the morning. Sheesh.
Macker, you and I are going to be best friends. I can already see us sitting on the OBX porch in 15 years, talking about your latest girlfriend and how I need to approve her. You are awesome and my favorite boy toy.
Mad-Dog, oh girl. You are the most precious. I love your crazy side, your sensitive side and the side that asks me to hold your backpack every Wednesday.
Kate and Miles, duh, I'm your mom and I'm nuts about you.
Mia Baby, you were born on our anniversary when Kate was just a tiny bump in my tummy. What a mature, sweet and kind darling you are. Your mom and I often talk about how our girls got switched because you and I are the rule followers. Before Scotty, your mom didn't know that babies cried!
Jordan-o, I love your face. Having you grab my hand every morning and say, "I ride with you?" makes my day. Remember when I lost the pizza and you told me so matter of factly, "You're sittin' on it?" I knew then that I wanted another baby (you're not a baby) of my own. You sold me on it. Stop lying or you'll be eaten in your sleep. Roar!
Juner, you are your father. For real. So funny! I heard your dad tell you the other day that you could have something or other if you rapped. So you did. You are such a miracle. God has done such wonders in your little body. To see you eat pizza is just this side of heaven. Sorry that I didn't pick up the phone...
And on we go.

Thanks for making me cry this early in the morning. Love you! Isn't the love we all share such a special gift. Thanks for loving my kids the way you do.

Oh my gosh, I never expected to click on your blog on a Saturday afternoon and find myself crying by myself in the kitchen. Love this!

I love them all too. Off to cry in the corner over all of us not living in the same place anymore. Dang it.
